For those of you interested , I upgraded and translated in english !, my 
doc on mozilla centralized autoconfiguration using environement 
variables and ldap queries :

I hope it will help to extend the use of that really great feature for 
sysadmins, although curiously not really documented in www.mozilla.org !?
