Customize account wizard

I would like to customize Mozilla's (ver1.3) email account wizard, so
that the IMAP radio button is selected by default and incoming/outgoing
server details are added automatically. 
I was able to do this with Netscape Communicator MCD.
I would like to prepare a similar customized version of Mozilla 1.3 but
I'm not sure how to manually add these modifications.
