Save your profile (see release-notes for where it is), esp the [odd 
characters].w and .s files and the mozreg, in a save location. Upgrade. 
Uninstall old version. If it didn't work, you can still install the old 
version again. If the new version messed with your profile, you still 
have the backup.

Note that 1.1 and 1.2.1 have countless security holes.
