Netscape/Mozilla Profile Vanished? Prevent It. Solve It.

sorry sorry sorry, I did promise to post this months ago but things sort 
of got messed up around here.

Anyway.  There's been an occasional problem with Netscape loosing 
profiles, mainly the default profile, and causing untold pain to users.

So I've finally gotten around to writing the article about it, and how 
to prevent it.
