Change browser pref. without restarting

So, subj:



Is there a possibility to change some properties (e.g. proxy settings) in
Mozilla without restarting the browser?.. May be exists some dll/API
function to change it?.. I'm writing some C/C++ program and it's necessary
to change browser settings very often but without end-user's participation
in this process.



Maybe, someone knows the solution?..
