mozilla.org by default ships the builds compiled with glibc 2.1, and gcc
2.9x as per the release notes for 1.3b :-
"glibc 2.1, XFree86 3.3.x, GTK 1.2.x, Glib 1.2.x, Libstdc++ 2.9.0. Red
Hat Linux 6.0, Debian 2.1, and SuSE 6.2 (or later) installations should
work."

The crucial one for us would be qt version, since gtk-1.2.x is
irrelevant here. I guess we'd have to keep checking with both qt-3.x
and qt-2.x

Debian unstable (sid) is currently migrated to 2.3.1 :(
ii libc6 2.3.1-14 GNU C Library: Shared libraries
and Timezone data

I can keep offering the builds for debian sid users, at the same location.
