Note, even if telemetry was enabled, it'd be switched off by default, right?

In particular with linux, would we expect a "usual as on windows" opt-in 
ratio for telemetry?

I still think we should have them, as they're part of our overall user 
base, but I'm not sure if numbers behind opt-in are going to be as 
reliable for linux as they'd be on, say Windows.
