Two interesting things to note. PDA is pretty much a mobile nowadays. People say mobiles are becoming smartphones or whatever, but I say everything is consolidating to a mobile. On the opposite end of the scale is what I like to call the desktop. I am talking about client devices here, not servers. Secondly, "Mobile" generally denotes subset. Like Mobile CSS and Mobile XHTML, "mobile" means it is missing some key functionality. Ideally nothing is missing from any device you choose to browse from. If someone tries to sell you a "mobile" technology I would question it.
