I'm not sure about native SMIL support. SVG supports SMIL-based
animation [1] (you may be interested in section "Relationship to SMIL
Animation" [2], and Firefox has been progressing on that. Bug 216462
[3] was already fixed, although it's currently not yet easily
available. Bug 473904 [4] should be able to make SVG SMIL animation
possible through a simple preference change in nightly builds [5]
(soon I hope) but currently you need to build it yourself.

Please provide more details on what you indent in order to get more
targeted feedback.
