Hi Hillbilly, > What's the skinny on SMIL support? I've recently learned its about to come > back in a big way and thought FF provided native parsing for .smil files? I'm not sure about native SMIL support. SVG supports SMIL-based animation [1] (you may be interested in section "Relationship to SMIL Animation" [2], and Firefox has been progressing on that. Bug 216462 [3] was already fixed, although it's currently not yet easily available. Bug 473904 [4] should be able to make SVG SMIL animation possible through a simple preference change in nightly builds [5] (soon I hope) but currently you need to build it yourself. Please provide more details on what you indent in order to get more targeted feedback. Hope this helps, Helder Magalhães [1] http://www.w3.org/TR/SVG11/animate.html [2] http://www.w3.org/TR/SVG11/animate.html#RelationshipToSMILAnimation [3] https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=216462 [4] https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=473904 [5] http://www.mozilla.org/developer/#builds
