Although it seems that the best use-cases for SVG Fonts over TTF/OTF are 
when you use arbitrary SVG content...

Maybe we have an opportunity to redefine how glyphs containing arbitrary 
SVG content are rendered, so that it's more sane. I'll post to www-svg.
