Fierfox seems unfit to display SVG. As far as I know support for SMIL animations is completely absent. To make things worse: support for large number of objects with opacity seems to be broken since Firfox 3.5.5. I tested this on 3 platforms (win32 Windows XP an Vista and Suse Linux) all with several versions of the nightly buids of Firefox (3.5.4 3.5.5 and 3.5.6). On both win32 versions http://vector-graphics.appspot.com/t010.html will cause firefox 3.5.5 and 3.5.6 beta to have a broken display when scrolling and then hang. On Linux the browser 'survives'but has a weird display when scolling.
