Fund-raising SVG Fonts development

Hi,

I'm a french graphic and web designer, working with FOSS softwares,
including Inkscape....

I'm new to this list, I've just subscribed to launch once again a
good old hot topic : SVG Fonts.

I know there are pro and cons for SVG Fonts, I am personally pro, as
you may have read in the
corresponding bugzilla bug report .

I don't want to launch again here a lengthy debate about the need
for Mozilla to implement SVG Fonts or not, or trolling, or anything
similar...

My point here is : there are some designer around the world
(including me) who dream to have SVG fonts on the web, but aren't
able to implement it in Firefox because they don't know coding. On
other hand, SVG Fonts aren't a priority for Mozilla.

So, if you are interested in receiving patchs, maybe we can
fund-raise such a development online (pledgie, etc.)... But it can't
be done without your approval and goodwill.

May I respectfully ask you if such a project sound welcome to you ?

In such a perspective, I have some more questions :

Who to hire, and at what cost ? Anyone interested on this list ?

Do Mozilla Foundation accept donation from such campaigns ?
