launch *just* Mail & Newsgroups?

Linux -- Fedora Core 2 -- Gnome desktop.  Is it possible to create a 
launcher on the toolbar panel that ONLY brings up Mail & Newsgroups?

I can set the prefs so that when I launch Mozilla, it brings up the web 
browser, or mail & newsgroups, or the composer, or all of the above, but 
I'd REALLY like separate launchers for the web browser and mail & news. 
  Is this possible?  I'm assuming that if it is, I need to know some 
command line options, but I can't find them documented in the program help.
