Why so nasty dude?  I deleted the directory after I did the chmod 777.  I
know that you don't do that permanently.  I was simply trying to eliminate
user rights as the issue.
Thanks for the strace, I'll read the man page.
In the future if you feel the need to be nasty to someone without knowing
them, please try some meditation, or maybe an enema.  At the very least
take a deep breath and calm down.
