mozilla 1.7.3 & Xresources

I have some default setting for mozilla in ~/.Xresources. But those
settings are not picked up by mozilla. Has this every worked ?

My Xresources file:

Mozilla*Navigator.geometry: 700x880
Mozilla*Bookmark.geometry: 400x880
