Switching plugins (esp. Flash) on and off.

I am using Mozilla 1.2 (under RedHat Linux 7.3) and I want to know if
there is a way to turn a plugin on or off *without* having to exit
mozilla and move the plugin shared library out of or in the plugin
directory.
