Firefox: How to make Shift-Mouse-Button = Save Link As ... ?

I remember from old Netscape browsers, that it was possible to "Shift-Click"
a link in order to save the linked target. In Firefox, I need to
right-click the link and then select "Save Link As ...".

Is it possible to customize the behavior of "Shift-Left-Mouse-Button" so
that it is associated with "Save Link As"?
