Well... I didn't think that 1.0.5 vs 1.0.7 should make that difference. 
It is known, though, that GCC 2.95.3 causes that problem.

Is it possible that your 1.0.5 build was a static build, while your 
1.0.7 one wasn't? That'd certainly be a workaround.
