Statusbar, Firefox 1.5

Hi, I've used Firefox 1.5 with KDE 3.4.0 since today after I downloaded Firefox 1.5. I recognized an awful issue compared to the version which I've used till today... The Statusbar in 1.5 seems to be 'broken'. It's not only, as it's used to be, a gray one-line field, it is a one line field and below are, I guess, about 100pixels just a gray Block which space is not used by the displayed webpage, what's that? known? how to solve?
