I think you must have missed the part about how both times this happened, while the all Windows computer was hanging on the Mozilla site, I was able to, on a neighboring computer, use Mozilla to navigate and get the download quickly without a problem. Meanwhile the first computer was still stuck, although it would work fine on any other web site.
