I use my WinXP machine a LOT, doing various things, often with beta (or alpha) software and I reboot only when an install or update requires it. That is usually about once a week, but may happen several times in a day, or not for several weeks. In the time I have had WinXP, I have had maybe two reboots due to unspecified causes. WinXP is VASTLY more stable than Win9X based versions.
