I belive it is supposed to read: "....his Mac ..." Sure Mac's are just as capable of running non-stop as any Machine. They would more likely run longer, because Unlike PC's Apple use certain vendors and they have to build to a certain specification. If the don't then Apple finds another vendor that is acpable of manufacturing to their specifications. This is one reason Apple products cost more. ON the Other hand there are bunches of PC manufactures and they get their components from the lowest bidder. so that they can build fantastic speed demon machines $500-600 on up. I worked on PC's from Epson, IBM, Winn, even HP and other mainstream Manufacturers, While as a technician for a school system. And the inner workings of each when opened, no two were alike except possibly the CPU. Drives, CD's, Floppies were all different. Even Power Supplies were manufactured by different manufacturers, even among the same model number and Brand. So I expect if My Mac was setup with OSX Server software, and properly protected againstelctrical failure, and the elements. It most likely would still be runing long after any PC or UNIX Server died. > > But I know of OS/2 machines that did that. > > I keep my Windows XP machines on until I have to reboot them because things stop > working correctly, which happens every couple of weeks or so.
