This solves popup alerts problem with Firefox in way that I found as 
desired. Really useful info.
Hope there is, or will be, similar thing for Thunderbird too. TB's 
popups are more annoying since they appear regularly when TB tries to 
check for new mail and for some reason it can't connect.
