Yes I remember seeing something like that. They weren't called 
newsgroups rather public folders I believe. Are you sure that this is 
done via NNTP. Because if it were true NNTP then Outlook should not be 
able to "ban" using any other server that does NNTP. IOW you wouldn't 
need an Exchange server. Conversely, TB should be able to point to the 
Exchange server as it can any other NNTP news server.

Methinks it was not really NNTP rather they are simply Public Folders 
and not real newsgroups.
