There's no MAPI interface from within T'bird. You have to use either IMAP, or POP3. You may want to try POP3 with messages left on the server (assuming they've enabled POP3). It would be "real nice" if the MAPI component from Evolution (which has apparently been open-sourced by Novell) were to find its way into T'bird.. (I would just work on your admins to see if they'll enable IMAP4; tell them that they "broke" the mail server when they moved it :-), and explain that they need to turn on IMAP4 "like the old one" :-) :-). IT guys are so reactive..)
