Do you have the Talkback Agent enabled? AFAIK, the Talkback Agent (aka 
Quality Feedback Agent) is installed by default during the standard 
Firefox installation.

If Firefox crashes, the Talkback Agent kicks in and sends a report back 
to Mozilla.org (after you agree with it).
In rare cases I've seen Firefox crashing without the Talkback Agent 
kicking in (FF just disappear, not even a Windows popup window about 
some illegal instruction).

The Talkback Agent, when installed, is located in the 'components' 
directory of the FF installation directory, e.g. C:\Program 
Files\MozillaFirefox1.0\components\talkback.exe.
Start it and make sure that menu Settings -> Turn Agent On is selected.
Using the Incident ID, you can find a more detailed rapport at 
<http://talkback-public.mozilla.org>.
