Oops. Just fiddled around some more with this and it appears to be fixed 
now. Turns out that, when I went into the Options and clicked on the 
'check to see if firefox is default browser' button, it was NOT the 
default browser anymore. Hmmmm...I wonder what was! : ) So I set it back 
to default and now everything appears to be working. Hopefully atleast 
others may see this issue/resolution and be saved some hassle.
