thunderbird - sharing mail

Hi,

I've got a laptop with windows and linux and shared the mail by storing 
it on a fat32 partition.
Now I mainly use my new desktop pc and want to read my mail on it as 
well (at least under windows). So I shouldn't boot up my laptop to see 
what was in a mail message. The contents of the mailboxes at the pc 
should be identical to the ones at my laptop. (so I won't have some 
messages here and some there).
What might be the best way to obtains such functionality?
