Hi Roderick,

OK, so you have a POP3 mail account that you use to download mail to 
either your laptop or the new desktop PC?

There are 3 possible solutions:

1. As another poster has mentioned, use an IMAP account. That way mail 
is saved on a server not the local PC, so you can easily synchronise 
accounts between machines.

2. If '1' isn't possible: In your POP3 account settings go to 'Server 
Settings' and tick 'Leave messages on server'. In this way, the second 
machine that you use to download mail will be able to receive your 
e-mail. The problem here is that your message status is not in sync with 
that of the other PC (ie read/replied/forwarded etc). Additionally, your 
sent mail items will only reside on the machine you used at the time to 
send the message (unless you use the 'BCC' option in 'Copies and 
Folders' in your Account Settings)

3. Use a USB storage device to store all your mail and set the path to 
the mail store in the 'Local directory' box in 'Server Settings' for 
each machine/installation.
