Regarding novell shutdown of xforms R&D - Is the XForms extension for Mozilla dead ?

I read at http://www.beaufour.dk/blog/ that novell fired the xforms 
developers working on the XForms extension for Mozilla. Does this mean that 
the extension is effectively dead or just slowed down or what ? Are other 
people working on it ?
