Ok, sorry for the hasty posts earlier, but here is some further results. Yes, only one of those examples actually would work, the nsIConverter one was incorrect types as [name] pointed out. The successful candidate is http://www.teamcon.com/pub/concepts/mozilla/XMLDocument/save.js loading in http://www.teamcon.com/pub/concepts/mozilla/XMLDocument/save/remote.xml via the test pages http://www.teamcon.com/pub/concepts/mozilla/XMLDocument/save/save.xul http://www.teamcon.com/pub/concepts/mozilla/XMLDocument/save/save.xhtml and the test.js script is http://www.teamcon.com/pub/concepts/mozilla/XMLDocument/save/test.js Unfortunately the above mentioned host does not have the proper mime types to serve up the .xul and .xhtml, but wanted to show some code that did work.
