xforms and mono

With mono getting xpcom support soon (at least from what I've heard from 
the latest developer days).. would it be feasible to develop at least 
part of the xforms support in c# since a large percentage of the missing 
xml pieces required for xforms are fairly mature in the mono/.net 
framework. I know it sounds kinda silly to require mono in order to have 
xforms support, but if you can cut out many many man months worth of 
work, would it be an acceptable solution?
