Hi Martyn,
Hmmm. I installed the 02/05 nightly from
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/2005-02-05-17-trunk/
and the xforms.xpi from
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/2005-02-05-17-trunk/windows-xpi/
and it worked fine for me. I did get the normal saying, "To protect
your computer, Firefox prevented this site from installing software on
your computer." and then had to click the button to "allow" the install
to proceed. Then I closed all the mozilla/firefox windows on my machine
and started up the 02/05 nightly and XForms worked fine.
Please check for the file 'xforms.dll' under the extensions directory
where your profile is stored. On my machine, it was in: C:\Documents
and Settings\aaron\Application
Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\197j4nhp.default\extensions\{cf...}\components\xforms.dll.
There should also be a schemval.dll in the same directory. That is
how you could be sure that xforms.xpi installed successfully. If you
didn't install a nightly but rather built your own, you should see
xforms.dll and schemval.dll under your dist/bin/components directory.
