Textbox doesn't allow text entry on Mac (Mountain Lion)

If I run xulrunner (15) from the terminal and take my ini file as input, I see my window with text boxes, but when I try to enter text into the text box, it just gets redirected to the terminal window. 

I tried installing my app, but then the window doesn't launch at all.  I am wondering if the placement of the manifest or preferences needs to be somewhere else other than the defaults?

Any help would be appreciated.
