Going further, I just attempted to add an install.js, using http://kb.mozillazine.org/Install.js and editing just the few bits at the top, and get a "Script error" when trying to install. So it looks like FF 1.0.4 does *not* ignore an install.js per the docs, but rather, expects a different syntax (?) than the example shown. Thoughts, suggestions? I'm stuck at the starting line here.
