Re: mozilla and installing java plugin with xpi extension

I'm not sure why it didn't automatically run the .xpi file for you, but 
since you have saved the .xpi file to disk, all you have to do to 
install the file is simply open the .xpi file via the Mozilla browser.  
You can just type the full path of the .xpi file in the url field, ie: 
c:\my documents\myfile.xpi

This will run the .xpi file in the xpinstall context.
