Can't install XPI in Mozilla v1.3 in OS X?

Hi.
I cannot seem to install Prefbar's XPI file from
http://www.xulplanet.com/downloads/prefbar/ after upgrading Mozilla to
v1.3 from v1.2.1. It worked in v1.2.1 recently. I get no errors or any
pop-up (asking me to install or not). I tried installing locally, and it
failed as well.
Is this a new bug in v1.3 for OS X? I got v1.3 from ftp.mozilla.org
earlier today. Thank you in advance. :)
