Hi,
I've been able to get Mozilla to recognize my XUL application by
inserting the appropriate line into my installed-chrome.txt file.
However, when I want to change to a version of the application installed
in a different location (I'm installing outside of the chrome/
directory) I edit the line in installed-chrome.txt, but Mozilla doesn't
pick up on the change.
I gather that Mozilla reads installed-chrome.txt each time it starts up.
But it looks like it only looks for new packages, and does not check
for changes to the URLs of existing packages. Is this correct?
I think I can work around the problem by deleting chrome.rdf and
restarting, forcing Mozilla to reprocess the entire thing from scratch.
Is this safe? Is there a better way to do it?
Thanks for any help!
