Actually it's Ian Oeschger who wrote the DOMRef (I wrote the DOM docs, 
not the same). He's not around anymore, as far as I can tell.

DOMRef is not in a good shape right now and it's absolutely not 
recommended to do any work on it at this moment, because it was written 
in framemaker and last I heard, Doron (and fantasai? others?) were 
working on XML'izing it and putting it on the future DevMo.
