No, that's not the point.

First of all, it is very clear to me since the first day of working on
Enigmail that the MPL will allow a company to use the source code,
modify it and publish a non-free version of it without needing to
release the free part. The MPL exists because of Netscape, the former
owner of the Mozilla source code. Netscape published the code under a
license that allowed it to publish its own derivative of the Mozilla
Suite in a non-free manner as they liked (which they did in the past).

There is no point of "being interested in obtaining the free part" for
MPL licensed code - you can't request it.

The Mozilla source code consists of roughly 20 millions lines of code,
and I know almost nothing of that code, apart of some of the APIs it
provides. Whether or not there is something valuable in the Postbox code
is totally irrelevant to me -- I seriously doubt that I would find it.
