I've just installed 32bit Gpg4Win v 3.1.12 and a 32bit Thunderbird v 
78.2.0, and enabled the prefs, and TB error console says gpgme is loaded.

Then I uninstalled Thunderbird 32bit, and installed Thunderbird 64bit.
The error console no longer mentions loading gpgme.

Thunderbird 64bit would require a 64bit gpgme.dll
