In newsgroups I use the quick filter for searching in the newsgroup I am reading. In many groups people post OT messages about Corona, vaccins, etc. I do not want to read this in an uk railway group or an uk radio group. Especially because it concerns the British situation and not the Dutch situation. So I type Corona (or vaccin) in the quick filter and delete the found messages. The search box searches in complete Thunderbird, including mails. Usefull if I am looking for an e-mail. But most of the time I get too many results there.
