Demographics have shown that the 55 or so million dead of WW2 had a very minor effect. Delayed getting to 7 billion by a few weeks at most. One reason: higher post-war birth rates. Problem is, a lot of people not only believe there is a solution, they believe they're the ones who know what it is.
