On the internet https is a car, driving you to whereever you want to go. 
You've been told by the the party you want to visit that your car doesn't 
have all the current security features (seatbelts, airbags, roll cage) [1], 
and therefore might be dangerous to drive.  They warn you but allow you to 
use it anyway.

[1] it checks if that equipment is still upto the task, and not that you're 
stil using a seatbelt, airbags, etc. from yesteryear for "upto" 80 KMh in a 
world where you frequently drive over 120 KMh.

Just don't complain when some crash-for-cash idiot hits you and you get 
thrown out thru the front window and die in the process (read: don't 
complain when some internet thief MITMs you and empties your bank account)
