That "plenty of time" may be less than a second of consciousness.

That's what *some* people tell who survived long enough. Others don't
have or talk about such experiences.

"see you life pass by in a flash" has nothing to do with that fantasy:
it can happen to anyone who remains conscious long enough. But the
chance of being launched through the window and hitting the road has
been considerably reduced by airbags.
