Recent post on m.s.f:
"Bug 259640: Opened 17 years ago - Closed 25 days ago"

Not sure if should give one hope of despair. On one hand, it was closed 
"resolved" after 17 years. Otoh, yours has been steeping for 21 years 
outdistancing 259640?
