There are still newsgroups - Microsoft going didn't kill them; of the 
microsoft.public.* ones, at least m.p.outlook, m.p.outlook.general, 
m.p.win98.gen_discussion, and m.p.windowsxp.general, as well as 
alt.comp.os.windows-10 and alt.windows7.general, all of which are widely 
carried, though with varying levels of activity (for example the outlook 
one seems mostly just an occasional ad. for the PST/OST converters, and 
the '98 one is fairly sleepy [and the XP one getting so], though what 
posts there are are mostly on topic).
