web languages list in various ehm languages

Hello,
I'm looking to put together a table for the language codes and their related 
names, but in many languages.
For instance it-ch would be:
Italian (Switzerland) +
Italiano (Svizzera) +
Italien (Suisse)
and so on.
I was trying to peek in the Firefox code for this but only found the related 
dialog box definition (languages.dtd) and not the actual content of the 
drop-down list with all the language names...
Could anyone point to the right direction here ? Would they be the 
maintainers of the various translations or is there a place where I could 
look myself ?
