Posting Job Description

Essential Functions
·Designs and implements the encryption and PKI libraries
for use in AOL's client and server products. Develops
smart card applications. Addresses issues of deployability,
configuration and management, and error handling.
·Works closely with other members of the security team,
the client teams, and the server teams to design and
implement key features. Works closely with QA, Product
Management, and Product Engineering to deliver a quality
product to market in a timely manner.

Technical Excellence
·A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
or equivalent experience.
·Possesses approximately 5+ years software development
experience.
·Highly fluent in C, C++, and Java.
·Works with a major component of software life-cycle
development; designing, developing, troubleshooting,
debugging and implementing software
·Excellent problem solving skills required
·Unix/Linux, Mac OS X, or Windows platform experience

Preferred Knowledge and Skills
·Network programming experience desired
·Knowledge of cryptography, PKI, and security protocols
(Kerberos, SSL, or S/MIME) desired
·Internet protocol development experience desired
·Experience with NSS, OpenSSL, or RSA BSAFE desired
·Knowledge of Java Card, embedded Java applications,
PKCS #11, CryptoAPI, PC/SC, and Mac OS X Keychain
Services are definite pluses

Business Skills
·May function as a project lead.
·Accurately predicts time required to complete development
projects; adheres closely to development plans; anticipates
changes to a product specification or schedule as they
become necessary during a development cycle
