We are building a Mozilla-based personal communications environment. You will have the opportunity to participate in the inception of an exciting product and take a lead role in shaping a growing software development organization. You will be joining a proven team with experience building great products and great work environments. Applicants should have have several years of experience with open source technology for both client and server side of web applications, strong analytical skills, be self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as work within a group. The ideal candidate should have: - experience in semantic technologies such as XML, REST, SOAP, AJAX, etc. - familiarity with XUL, Javascript, and XPCOM component programming in C or C++ - having written your own Firefox extension or contributed to the Mozilla project would be a plus - some familiarity with an SQL database such as MySQL - eagerness to stay abreast of trends and technologies in open source development - an eagerness to deal with the unique opportunities, challenges, risks, and rewards offered by a startup environment - ability to relocate to Austin We are prepared to offer a compensation package that includes a competitive salary, bonuses, and an equity stake.
